The Rio Gay Pride Parade – Parada Gay do Rio de Janeiro – has a new date: Sunday November 14th, 2010.

The organizers – or should we say desorganizers ? -  of the 15th Gay Pride Parade in Rio have just announced a new date for the parade which is expected to color the streets and shores of Rio’s most famous neighborhood, Copacabana.

It’s the second year in a row that the organizers postpone the parade date with a short, very short warning. Those who have already booked their hotels and paid for the airfare will have to make new arrangements for the Rio Gay Pride Parade.

The good news is that November falls right before the Summer kicks in, with a better chance for high temperatures. Also, with the summer daylight saving time already in motion, days at the beach will be longer and more enjoyable. To top it off, the 15th is a national holiday in Brazil. Thousands of gay tourists will probably take the opportunity to enjoy the Cidade Maravilhosa and the 15th Gay Pride Parade in Rio de Janeiro.

For those who have purchased their packages with Bookers International, i.e. GayPrideBrazil.org, please contact Ana as she has already made alternative plans for all of our gay pride fellow passengers.
