Copacabana Beach during Gay Pride Rio
Put on your agenda: the date for the 15th Gay Pride Parade in Rio de Janeiro has been confirmed: Sunday October 10, 2010.
With Tuesday October 12 being a National holiday not only in Rio de Janeiro, but on the entire country, expect gay Brazilians to make it a 4-day holiday from the very Friday October 8 to Tuesday October 12, in a 4-day long party just like for carnival.
With hotels at half price, mid-season and the thermometers in the 80’s Farenheit, Rio de Janeiro is certainly the place to be for the 15th Gay Pride Parade.
The officialagenda for the week is yet to be published. The organizers website www.arco-iris.org.br has been hacked and to the publishing of this blog article, we didn’t succeed to have anyone answer our emails about the 2010 theme and the activities around the 15th Gay Pride Parade. Stay tunned.
