by jay on April 18, 2010

The Sao Paulo Gay Pride is much more than the huge Parade at Avenida Paulista. The 10th LGBT Cultural Fair is a must-go event and takes place on June 3rd, at Anhagabaú area – everybody knows where it is – attracting lots of paulistas as well as curious visitors from everywhere in Brazil. Not less important is the Cycle of Debates, opening on June 10th with a busy political agenda that goes through June 28.

For those who are in town for the weekend, it pays to go have fun at the 10th Gay Day at the Playcenter. It’s a remarkable daily activity on teh Saturday before the main parade, June 5th, from 10 AM to 10 PM. Transportation from Barrafunda Subway station is provided for Free to all those who want to attend this funny event.

Dozens of independent gay parties are held in clubs, bars and private venues in Sao Paulo. Though some of them are not officially part of the agenda for the Gay Pride Sao Paulo, it will be hard to miss the fliers and invites, being largely distributed in the gay venues in both Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, many weeks in advance.

Below is a short to-do list for participants at the Sao Paulo Gay Pride 2010.
