The theme for this year - Somos Todos Iguais Perante a Paz -Toda Violencia Deve Ser Crimea - aims to equality but now it presents itself with humor playing with the constitution's "We're the same before the Law." Again, is an effort to extend the fight against Homophobia to a federal level. Last year's theme was Against Homophobia, aimed for freedom, happinness and joy of sexual diversity! Rio de Janeiro Governor Mr. Sergio Cabral will be honored for his hard work with the LGBT community against homophobia.
The march is the center piece of an entire month of activities promoted for the 16th Rio de Janeiro Gay Pride Parade.
