The Parada do Orgulho GLBT de Sao Paulo, in Portuguese, has grown from 2,000 participants in 1997 to 2,5 million in 2006, when they made to the Guinness Book, for the world’s biggest Gay Pride celebration. 4 million people are expected for 2010.

The theme for 2010 has already been chosen – "Without Homophobia, More Citizenship - By isonomy Rights” – in reference to the dozens of constitutional rights that are denied to the LGBT individuals such as union civil and adoption.

The March is the center piece of an entire month of activities promoted for the 13th Sao Paulo Gay Pride Parade. The goal is to give visibility to the LGBT community, demanding the recognition of their citizenship, combating discrimination and prejudice and to build awareness on the society sexual diversity.
